Spring Mill SP, hosts Holiday in the Village
Celebrate the season like Hoosiers did in the late 1800s at Spring Mill State Park's annual Holiday in the Village, Dec. 1 and 2.
The event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Visitors can stroll through the Pioneer Village as heritage interpreters and volunteers decorate trees and prepare to celebrate the holidays. Wassail and cookies will be served to the public in the Village Tavern after 6:30 p.m. both evenings, while supplies last.
Follow the luminaries to find Father Christmas on Friday until 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 8 p.m.
There will be dulcimer music on both Friday and Saturday, and on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the grist mill the popular local group Wildflowers and Weeds will perform.
Park admission during the event is $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
