Gunwerks announces the release of its long-awaited GRB bolt rifle action. For the first time since Gunwerks' founding, a core component of Gunwerks' proprietary engineering and design is available to the general public as a component action for custom rifle builds.

The GRB action is a complete ground-up bolt rifle action with a Remington 700 footprint, compatible with most Remington 700 inletted stocks. The 416 stainless steel body is impervious to corrosion and can be run unfinished or coated with a number of firearm coatings including Cerakote. Gunwerks' proprietary Tri-Lock recoil lug provides the benefit of an integral lug action in a far more affordable package. At a retail price of $850 ($750 introductory price for the first 100 actions sold at www.gunwerks.com), the GRB action comes at a similar price to a blueprinted factory action, but with many features of a premium custom action.

Additional features include a one-piece, NP3 coated bolt that is field strippable and serviceable and includes a threaded, tactical bolt knob. The bolt design features "Borden Style" bumps for superb bolt alignment and lockup with smooth cycling. A proprietary horizontal ejection system ensures easy and reliable extraction.

The action includes customer's choice of a one or two-piece picatinny base with integrated 20 or 30 MOA.

The Gunwerks GRB Action comes available in right and left hand (limited left hand availability), short and long action, and standard or magnum bolt faces.
