The Faerie Gathering returns to Paynetown SRA

If you enjoy both crafts and faerie tales, you won't want to miss the Faerie Gathering at Paynetown State Recreation Area on Saturday, June 24.

Craft activities are scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening. Participants can make faerie tale creatures (glittering dragonfly, sullen snail, pinecone faerie) and create fun accessories to place in a faerie garden (faerie baby bassinet, miniature wind chimes).

All of the activities are included for free with property admission, except for the Faerie Door Workshop which has a $5 fee and is limited to 15 participants.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: Faerie Tale Creature: Glittering Dragonfly
From 1 to 5 p.m.: Faerie Garden Feature: Baby
At 2:15 p.m.: Faerie Tale Creature: Sullen Snail
From 3:30 to 5 p.m.: Faerie Garden Feature: Miniature Wind
From 6 to 7 p.m.: Faerie Tale Creature:
At 7:30 p.m.: Faerie Door Workshop, limited to 15 participants (sign up between 1 and 5 p.m. inside the Activity Center, $5 fee)

Admission to Paynetown SRA (4850 S. State Road 446, Bloomington) is $7 per vehicle with Indiana plates, or $9 per vehicle with out-of-state plates. Annual passes can also be purchased at the entrance gatehouse.
