Comp-Tac's Gordon Carrell Wins High Senior at IDPA Indoor Nationals

HOUSTON, Texas – Team Comp-Tac's Gordon Carrell won the High Senior title at the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship held February 23rd-26th in Springfield, Massachusetts. Carrell finished third Master in the Custom Defensive Pistol Division where he competed with his Springfield 1911.

"The IDPA Indoor National Championship is always a challenging match. This year I used my single stack 1911 which requires the firearm only be loaded with 9 rounds. It gave me ample opportunity to use my Comp-Tac Magazine pouches for extra reloads and plenty of shooting time. I would like to thank Smith & Wesson for the use of the facility, the match director, safety officers and all the volunteers for putting together a fun and challenging event," commented Carrell, who is Comp-Tac's General Manager.

Fellow Team Comp-Tac member Randi Rogers also finished well amongst the competition.
Rogers finished 7th ESP Master and 2nd Lady Overall.

Comp-Tac Victory Gear was fully involved at this year's Indoor National Championship as both a stage sponsor of the match and a supporter of the S&W Industry Cup after the event.

The Factory Event was a special event where 40 Smith and Wesson employees and 8 HAVA Veterans were able to shoot the stages after the match. Comp-Tac donated 70 Holsters and 85 magazine pouches to the event allowing each and every attendee the opportunity to draw from a holster and reload from magazine pouches on their belt. Additionally, Comp-Tac's Carrell and Rogers stayed to help RO and coach all the employees as the participated in shooting the stages.

"Having employees who are also involved in the shooting sports has always been a key part of our business. We want to know how all of our customers are using the product and be available to answer questions, give advice and support events like the Indoor Nationals and Factory Cup," explained Gregg Garrett, owner and President of Comp-Tac.

Next up for Team Comp-Tac, Rogers and Carrell will compete in the USPSA Space City Challenge March 11th and 12th in Bellville, TX.
