It's Grilling Time! This Week on The Sporting Chef on Sportsman Channel

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – There's more to cooking deer than wrapping it in bacon for popular 'deer poppers,' says Chef Scott Leysath, host of The Sporting Chef TV show presented by Camp Chef. Leysath grills up some simple but delicious grilled venison steaks on this week's show. Plus, Susie Jimanez shows how to cook beautiful food without fancy kitchen tools, Stacy Harris makes juicy venison burgers, and Cee Dub cooks up flavorful fish cookies. Tune in to The Sporting Chef exclusively on Sportsman Channel on Sundays at 12:30 PM ET with additional airtimes of Mondays at 5:30 AM., Thursdays at 3:30 AM. and Fridays at 12:00 PM. ET.

On this week's show, Leysath grills four different cuts of deer and explains why your venison might taste gamey when it should be delicious. "There's nothing on there but a little bit of olive oil and Hi Mountain venison rub. Don't try disguise it with any kind of potions and quit cooking it so long," said Scott Leysath.
