NWTF and Avian-X unveil decoys at SHOT Show

Avian-X to unveil NWTF-logoed decoys

Partnership brings dollars back to the Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative

EDGEFIELD, S.C. — Just in time for spring turkey season, Avian-X, Plano Synergy and the National Wild Turkey Federation have teamed up to bring hunters high-tech turkey gear featuring the NWTF logo.

No matter where Avian-X turkey hunting products are purchased, hunter conservationists across the United States will be positively impacting the NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative. A portion of the purchase price for each decoy will come back to the NWTF, ensuring the gobbler pursuit for years to come.

These new products will be premiered at the NWTF's Turkey Town at the Mossy Oak booth during the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show this year in Las Vegas and will find their way to local stores soon.

"NWTF's customers are our customers," says Plano Synergy Vice President, Marketing, Pete Angle, referencing NWTF's passionate, conservation-oriented membership. "Without the ongoing conservation efforts of the NWTF and its membership, our customers wouldn't have the turkey hunting opportunities they enjoy today. We're thrilled that the Avian-X products we take so much pride in will not only continue to help hunters experience more success afield, but also directly support NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt."

"The NWTF's commitments and impacts reach well beyond turkeys and turkey hunting. Their varied grassroots programs and other diverse initiatives have educated millions of hunters and non-hunters alike on the critical importance of wildlife conservation and habitat restoration… because what's good for turkeys and turkey hunting is also good for countless other game and non-game wildlife species."

Avian-X will feature many NWTF-logoed products this year, including their new Lifelike Collapsible Decoy designs.

From the quarter strut jake decoy to feeder turkey decoys, each features the highest quality feather detail, and they have true-to-life paint schemes to match the natural reflective feathers of a real wild turkey.

All of these features are packed into a decoy 15-percent smaller than the original, making the decoy lighter, easier to pack and less dominant in appearance to avoid scaring off subdominant gobblers. Crafted from rugged Dura-Rubber, the decoys fold tightly and fit easily into a turkey vest, yet won't crease or dent like earlier folding decoys.

Avian-X also has a Life Line 360 decoy to replicate real turkey movement.

So, look for the logo and support brands, like Avian X, that have made a commitment to support the Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative.

About the National Wild Turkey Federation
When the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in 1973, there were about 1.5 million wild turkeys in North America. After decades of work, that number hit an historic high of almost 7 million turkeys. To succeed, the NWTF stood behind science-based conservation and hunters' rights.

About Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.
The NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. initiative is a charge that mobilizes science, fundraising and devoted volunteers to raise $1.2 billion to conserve and enhance more than 4 million acres of essential wildlife habitat, recruit at least 1.5 million hunters and open access to 500,000 acres for hunting.
