Featuring New Mossberg JM Pro Match Trigger and Optional Vortex® Strikefire II Optic

Mossberg and Sons, Inc., is expanding its line of MMR (Mossberg Modern Rifle) semi-auto rifles with the introduction of two full-featured models, chambered in 5.56mm NATO /223 Rem. The MMR Tactical Optics-Ready rifle and the MMR Tactical Vortex Red/Green Dot Combo package are perfectly-designed and ruggedly-built with superior features, from stock to muzzle, rarely found on production rifles including Mossberg's new JM Pro Drop-In Match Trigger.
In developing this line extension, Mossberg returned to the drawing board to identify the features that meet the needs of today's shooting enthusiast. Starting with all of the great features from the widely-praised Mossberg MMR Carbine: direct-impingement gas system; 7075 T6 aluminum-forged receiver; free-floating, 16-inch button-rifled, 4140 carbon steel barrel with 1:8 RH twist rate; removable, A2-style flash suppressor; and phosphate and Mil-Spec, hard-coat anodized metal finishes. Mossberg added a forward-assist and ejection-port dust cover to this well-designed platform.
Performance-enhancing features on the MMR Tactical rifles start with the trigger. Mossberg introduces its patented JM Pro Drop-In Match Trigger, designed for a consistent, crisp trigger pull with factory-set pull weight of 4 pounds and user-adjustable overtravel. Precision-machined and engineered to meet the demands of World-Champion 3-Gun competitive shooter, Jerry Miculek, the JM Pro Match Trigger is standard equipment on these models.
Mossberg's slim-profile forend offers added shooter comfort and enhanced functionality by incorporating Magpul's M-LOK® system for ease of attaching compatible accessories. For greater versatility, the full-length top rail will accommodate optics or accessories. The Magpul® MOE+® grip and trigger guard provide an ergonomic, hand-filling design with anti-slip texturing and the open core of the grip accepts optional Magpul Storage Cores for gear stowage. Completing the furniture package is Mossberg's newly-designed 6-position adjustable stock (11" – 14.25" LOP adjustment) that incorporates the Mossberg FLEX™ TLS™ (Tool-Less Locking) System connector, allowing the user to easily interchange recoil pads for greater LOP flexibility. Choose from three FLEX recoil pads, ranging from .75" thickness to 1.50" thickness (sold separately). The stock also features three QD swivel mount locations; and both stock and grip/trigger guard feature non-reflective, black finishes. The MMR Tactical rifles ship with a Magpul PMAG® 30-round magazine.
Available models include: MMR Tactical Optics-Ready (65081) primed for the optics of your choice and MMR Tactical Vortex Red/Green Dot Combo (65035) equipped with the Vortex Strikefire II optic. This 30mm Red/Green Dot is ideal for AR-platforms with its cantilever mount; positioning the optic 40mm above the top rail, allowing for the addition of back-up iron sights. The red/green dot provides for quick-target acquisition and with both eyes open, a maximum field of view. Rear-facing controls allow for easy adjustment of 10 dot-intensity levels and its rugged, aluminum alloy design is both waterproof and fogproof.
