Register Now for Learn To Hunt Workshop Offered in Southwest Ohio

First Time Hunters Offered Free Opportunity to Hunt Pheasants

Xenia, OH – Spaces still available in the Learn to Pheasant Hunt workshop being offered to adults 18 and older with little to no pheasant hunting experience according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The class will meet on November 6th and 13th at the Greene County Fish & Game Association and the hunt will take place December 10th on public land managed by the Division of Wildlife.

The class is free and will include pheasant identification, history, habitat, shooting, gun selection, hunting apparel and future pheasant hunting opportunities. Certified trap instructors will teach participants to shoot trap on the first two days of the class. Dog trainers will supply dogs and educate students on dog breed as well as selecting and caring for hunting dogs. All ammunition and firearms will be provided.
