The newest issue of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers' magazine is available today

MISSOULA, Mont. – The fall issue of Backcountry Journal is arriving in BHA members' mailboxes now. Here's a preview of the new issue:

Testing the Limits in Alaska's Chugach Range: In the centerfold feature, Phil Watts takes readers on a grueling Dall sheep hunt in southern Alaska. Jump Shooting – A Kayak Duck Hunt: A page from illustrator Ed Anderson's sketchbook, this unique story-telling method brings the reader along with a Boykin spaniel to load a kayak with southern Idaho mallards.

Hunter, Defined: Nicole Qualtieri of Zero Point Zero Productions always knew she was a hunter, though she didn't actually start until she was in her early 30s. That knowledge is in all of us as humans, she says. We just have to let it out.
