Project Learning Tree and Project Wild Workshop Available

CONCORD, N.H. -- Teachers, camp staff and non-formal educators will benefit from an upcoming workshop on teaching conservation and environmental education concepts. This one-day workshop is offered Saturday, March 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at NH Fish and Game Headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH. The cost for the day is $150, and includes three manuals and snacks.

Project WILD and Project Learning Tree are international activity-based, supplementary curricula that support the teaching of conservation and environmental education concepts. Targeting classroom teachers and non-formal educators, including camp staff of K-12 students, activities focus on wildlife and forests and are both interactive and interdisciplinary. As students are intrinsically interested in wildlife, trees and the outdoors, they readily engage in learning. Activities can be infused into everyday school subjects and busy classrooms, as well as busy camp settings. All activities are aligned with national and state curriculum frameworks.
