Gulf Coast Restoration Council Meets December 9 in Biloxi

On Wednesday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. CT, the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) will meet to vote on the Initial Funded Priorities List (FPL) and the Spill Impact Component Rule pursuant to the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act of 2012 (RESTORE Act). An open house will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT. The public is invited to attend the open house and meeting.

The meeting will take place at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, 2350 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, Mississippi. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, Chair of the Council, will preside over the meeting, and Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant will be in attendance as a Council member and host of the meeting. Council representatives from the other Gulf States and participating federal agencies will be in attendance.

The Council has posted the December 9 Meeting agenda as well as the Initial Funded Priorities List and Spill Impact Component Rule to be voted on by the Council, comments received from the public, and other related materials on its website: www.RestoreTheGulf.gov.
