Outdoor Sportsman Group to Host Hunt.Fish.Feed Event in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Homeless on October 14-15

DENVER. - Sportsman Channel, Outdoor Channel, Comcast and Project HOME are teaming up to host a Hunt.Fish.Feed event in Philadelphia on Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, serving a special venison burger meal to Philadelphians in need at three Project HOME resident locations.  Special guest Scott Leysath, Sportsman Channel TV host and Executive Chef, will help prepare and serve venison burgers with fries or onion rings, fruit and dessert.

Hunt.Fish.Feed., created by Sportsman Channel, is a unique outreach program that taps an underutilized food source—game meat and fish donated by sportsmen—to feed those struggling with hunger across America.  Philadelphia's event will utilize more than 75 lbs of venison donated by Realtree Outdoors.

"Hunt.Fish.Feed. is an opportunity for hunters and fishermen to share the bounty of their good fortune," said CEO and President of Outdoor Sportsman Group, Jim Liberatore. "This program is very important to our organization and helps us refocus on what's really important. We are especially grateful that partners like Comcast understand and share our vision when it comes to Hunt.Fish.Feed."

"We are honored to be part of this creative and unique effort to help provide meals for Project HOME," said Kathleen Sullivan, Comcast vice president of government affairs. "Projects like Hunt.Fish.Feed. demonstrate there are ways for us all to lend a hand and help people get their lives back on track."
