Universal Hunter Summer Issue Goes After One of the Dangerous Seven

Also Inside: A Sleepy Spot for Monster Whitetails is Revealed and a Hunter's Story for Red Stag in Scotland

(July 1, 2015) – Universal Hunter July/August/September issue, available on newsstands and online at http://UniversalHunter.Com, roams Africa to tell the tale of finding one of the dangerous seven – the hippo – a first time hunt for writer and huntress Jen Adams – O'Hara. Also in this issue are articles by Tim Herald, Christi Stone, Larry Weishuhn and more. Don't miss Herald's article on "South Dakota: A Sleeper State for Big Bucks," where he points out the best bucks aren't necessarily in Iowa. And turn to Stone's article, "The Ultimate Predator," where she provides advice on making yourself the best predator with one simple thing – your health.

"Each issue of UHM holds a special place in my heart, and this one has no exception. I always strive to include articles that will make the reader want to jump up and start packing for a safari," said Chantelle Kapp, editor of Universal Hunter. "Christi Stone recently joined our team and she will bring yet another added dimension to each issue with her health and fitness focus. Plus, she'll share delicious recipes that anyone can try it at home."

In "One of the Dangerous Seven," writer Jen Adams – O'Hara gives us her point of view on a daunting journey to Zimbabwe for her first-ever Hippo hunt. Joining her were her co-hosts on Universal Huntress TV, Norissa Harmen and Morgan Mills.
"The terrain in Zimbabwe was very different from the other countries in Africa we had been on. It was very thick brush and it was hard to see
the game. We traveled through the sweltering heat on top of the hunting rig to get to a good location where the hippos were found in the lake.
As this was my first time hunting a hippo, (my Professional Hunter) explained to me that there are two types of ways to hunt a hippo, in the water in the mornings or on the land in the late afternoon," wrote Adams-O'Hara.

Regular columnists Jeremiah Blain, Dr. Jim and Mary Clary continue to provide product reviews on items from the Maven B.2 11x45 binoculars to the Coast HL8 Headlamp.

And finally, don't miss a special piece by young entrepreneur Austin Kunselman, called "The Sportsman's Tank," who shares insider notes on a new TV series he's planning with other entrepreneurs that will be very similar to Shark Tank. "Dave (his dad) will bring in his expertise as a successful businessman to the Den, and Kappie (Universal Huntress TV producer) will plan on how to promote the product on the show. I will field test and give feedback on the product during a hunt," wrote Kunselman. Expect to see the series on a TV screen in 2016.
