SAFARI Magazine Wins Design Award

Tucson, AZ--Safari Club International is pleased to announce that its flagship publication, SAFARI Magazine, was awarded the 2015 Silver Communicator Award of Distinction for overall magazine design.

The Communicator Award "is the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications," and is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only group consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms. The Communicator Awards receives more than 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

"We recently invested in a completely updated redesign of SAFARI Magazine," said Steve Comus, SCI Director of Publications. "We are very honored to see that effort recognized and deemed among the best in the world."

Linda Day, Executive Director of AIVA, congratulated SCI, stating that the award "is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to the award winning work that you do."

That this honor comes from outside the hunting and shooting industry is a testament to SCI's efforts to show science-based wildlife management, hunting and hunters in a good light, even when judged by others in the world who may not have known nor understood them.
