Randy and I (Coni Brooks) would like to let you know that with the start of 2015, we have officially retired from Barnes.

It has been a wonderful 40-1/2 years in this spectacular industry. During this time, we've grown to love the people in this industry, many of whom have been so helpful to us through the good times and tough times.

We are grateful for the wonderful opportunities along the way of which not one – would we trade for anything. We have had experiences that most people can only dream about and we don't take any of those experiences for granted.

We have never forgotten where we came from and still remain the same people today as we were when we started in the business so many years ago. We are so proud of the amazing, out-of-the-box products we have innovated. The X-Bullet that Randy invented has proven time and time again to be the best bullet on the market. It has been transformed into the TSX, TTSX, and LRX bullets and they just keep getting better and better.

As many of you know, we sold Barnes to Remington Outdoor Company ("ROC") five years ago and we've never looked back. They have been great partners and with their help, we now have factory ammunition, a long time goal of ours.

I'm happy to say that while we are formally retiring, we will still be involved with the company, even keeping an office at Barnes. I will also be working on a new ROC initiative to engage the female market segment with our products and to increase women's participation in the hunting, shooting sports, and personal protection markets.

Barnes has been a special part of our life and we will always be proud of what we achieved together. Though it is hard to leave, we have tremendous trust and confidence in the employees that will carry our legacy forward.
