Sportsman Channel Q1 Lineup Packed with Top Shows and Talent

NEW BERLIN, WI - Sportsman Channel announced its 2015 Q1 program lineup headlined by new and returning series within the network's "Red, Wild & Blue America" banner. The Q1 shows appeal to the diverse interests of today's American sportsmen and women. With 630 new episodes and 18 new series that include stories about travel, adventure, survival/military, cooking and eating, work, family and more, Sportsman's new lineup expands the network's drive to present the lifestyle of people who love - and live - to hunt, shoot and fish.
"Sportsman Channel enters Q1 with great momentum and once again has a stellar line-up that gives viewers everything they want from real-life stories and interesting subject matter to key tips from the best experts," said Marc Fein, executive vice president of programming and production for Sportsman Channel. "Sportsman Channel continues to pride itself by offering programs told by authentic and sincere personalities that live the outdoor lifestyle everyday."

  • Amazing America with Sarah Palin (premiering January 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) returns for another season featuring 12 new episodes taking viewers across the United States while sharing inspiring stories of outdoor enthusiasts/personalities, craftsmen, and other notable Americans who go out of their way to help others.
  • Iditarod Unleashed (premiering March 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) is returning for its second season on the "Official Network of the Iditarod" with a series of specials about the "Last Great Race" - the dogs, drama and amazing races that have been part of this storied dogsled race across the Alaskan tundra. The 2015 race will air beginning April 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
  • Award-winning series MeatEater (premiering January 8, 8 p.m. ET/PT), with critically-acclaimed author and outdoorsman, Steven Rinella, is returning for its sixth season and bringing back Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen for an unpredictable blacktail deer hunt on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska.


The network also is stocking the waters with a new lineup of fishing series including:
  • Destin to Fish (premiering January 2 at 11 p.m. ET)
  • Extreme Fishing Adventures (premiering January 4 at 5 p.m. ET)
  • Sweetwater (premiering January 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET)
  • Bill Dance Outdoors (premiering January 4 at 3 p.m. ET). Bill Dance Outdoors is the oldest, continuously running television show of the genre. Hosted by America's best-known and iconic fisherman, Dance audiences are treated to an educational, humorous and sometimes offbeat way of having fun with the sport of fishing.

But, it's not all about fishing as Talkin' Turkey presented by Avian X returns on February 28 and March 2 at 4 p.m. ET with more back-to-back turkey hunting marathons to get sportsmen ready for the spring season. The celebrated Guns & Ammo TV show is also hosting a marathon on March 21 at 4 p.m. ET with back-to-back episodes.

Additionally, Sportsman Channel's popular, news-talk, outdoor show - NRANEWS Cam & Co. - is moving its on-air time to 5 p.m. ET beginning Monday, Jan. 5. Hosted by Cam Edwards, and airing from the NRANEWS Studios in Farmville, Va. and Washington D.C., NRANEWS Cam & Co. is the first and only news-talk series on television that can authoritatively address the issues that are vital to more than 80 million American sportsmen and sportswomen.
Highlights divided by Sportsman's popular primetime theme nights include:

Lock & Load Monday: Returning with new episodes are: Guns & Ammo (new time of 9 p.m. ET); Gun Talk Television (8:30 p.m. ET); Guns & Gear (9:30 p.m. ET) and Hot Shots (10 p.m. ET), plus new series Modern Shooter at 8:00 p.m. ET and Stop the Threat at 10:30 p.m. ET. Modern Shooter is conceived with today's firearm owner in mind and highlights cutting-edge guns, gear and training.

Realtree Hunting Camp Tuesday presented by Realtree and Nikon: Moving to Tuesday nights is Predator Nation (9:30 p.m. ET/PT) featuring bowhunter Fred Eichler. Returning with new episodes is Elite Archery's Respect the Game (9 p.m. ET/PT).

Big Game Wednesday presented by Wildgame Innovations: Returning with new episodes are Skull Bound TV (8:30 p.m. ET), The Outdoor Option (moves to 9:30 p.m. ET), Bowhunter TV (moves to 10:30 p.m. ET), and Mathews Dominant Bucks with whitetail hunting pro Stan Potts and his team of Solo Cam producers at 9 p.m. ET.

Thursday Trailblazers presented by Federal Premium Ammunition: Thursdays is "can't miss TV" night on Sportsman Channel with new premieres every few weeks with MeatEater debuting Season Six on January 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Amazing America with Sarah Palin beginning on January 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and NRA Life of Duty is returning with new episodes on January 22 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. The Life of Duty series serves and supports individuals who go to work protecting and defending the safety of the American people.

Full Draw Friday: Moving to Friday nights is Hallowed Ground Outdoors (8:30 p.m. ET). Returning with new episodes are Nock On TV (9 p.m. ET) and YoungWild (9:30 p.m. ET) with 12-year-old Lincoln Tapp, the youngest known hunter to harvest a stone sheep with a bow, as well as being well on his way to become the youngest bow hunter ever to complete the Super Slam of North American Big Game.

Saturday Big Shots: New series Team Trophy Quest debuts at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday nights with hunts focused on finding monster muleys, trophy elk and whitetail. Returning with new episodes are Safari Hunters Journal (8:30 p.m. ET), Turkey Man (9:30 p.m. ET) and Yeti's Ultimate Hunt (10 p.m. ET).

Sunday Sportsman: Pig Man: The Series leads off Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET with its sixth season of fighting the good fight against feral hogs. Benny Runs Wild (9:30 p.m. ET), Dead Dog Walkin' (10 p.m. ET) and Dog Soldier (10:30 p.m. ET) also return with new seasons.
