OWAA Youth Outdoor Writing Contest Will Award Cash Prizes

MISSOULA, Mont. - Outdoor Writers Association of America is once again hosting the Norm Strung Youth Writing Awards contests. The 2015 contests allows promising young writers and poets to showcase their skills and win cash prizes totaling $1,700, thanks to the support and sponsorship of Safari Club International Foundation.

The postmark deadline for entries is March 16, 2015. All entries must have an outdoor theme and must have been written during the 2014 calendar year. Please note that the rules have been updated and can be found in full on the OWAA website.

The contests feature categories in poetry or prose and awards prizes in two divisions. At the time the article was written, the author must have been a student in grades 6-8 to enter the junior division; or grades 9-12 (including prep school) to enter the senior division.
