Our ATK Sporting Group is seeking a National Account Manager with Amazon Sports to support our customer Amazon to add to our team. This person will be based in Overland Park, KS.
Responsibilities:
• Meets established objectives relative to increased sales volume in assigned accounts. Assists in developing long-range strategies designed to meet increasingly aggressive objectives.
• Prospects possible new accounts. Maintains ongoing contact with probable new customers.
• Calls on and supports through regular key account calls, all existing direct accounts
• Develops and presents programs and ideas to management for sales growth on brands and product categories.
• Responds to customer problems and complaints according to established company policy. Follows through to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved. Suggests new procedures or programs to prevent continuing problems/complaints.
• Seeks out and maintains information regarding competitors' activities through the territory. Maintains a well-informed knowledge of competitors' activities throughout the assigned territory. Informs Sales Management of any changing competitive pricing programs or marketing directions. Suggests means for ATK to respond to market trends or changing competitive tactics.
• Attends as required, and actively contributes to sales meetings, training programs, trade shows, shoots, and other activities as assigned by Director or VP of Sales. Suggests other forums for publicity and visibility for the company, and arranges participation if approved.
• Maintains accurate and up to date records relating to sales performance, planning, account information, business expenditures, etc., as required by established procedures, or as otherwise requested. Operates within expense budget.
• Performs other related duties including special projects as the need is apparent or as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• BA, BS in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
• MA/MS preferred
• 5+ years experience in the outdoor products industry
• 3+ years account manager experience; national or chain accounts
• Experience in the hunting, shooting or sporting goods industry
• Long and short term analytical skills including potential problem analysis and risk analysis/mitigation planning
• Sound leadership, communication and business math skills
• Ability to work well independently with little supervision
• Willingness to travel

Our Westfield, MA location is seeking a Cost Accountant to add to our team. This location has a rich history in the community and has been operating since 1922. The Cost Accountant is responsible for providing analytical and technical assistance in preparing financial statements with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Calculating labor and overhead rates and performing frozen standard cost rolls
• Analyzing labor, material usage and purchase price variances and publishing the results
• Analyzing unusual cost transactions and ensuring cost data is allocated correctly
• Coordinating physical inventories and cycle counts and publishing results
• Working with the Accounting Manager on development and implementation of Cost Accounting procedures
• Ensuring that all Cost Accounting procedures conform to corporate initiatives
• Auditing inventory and manufacturing controls and making recommendations on how to improve processes
• Reviewing and analyzing P&L and Balance Sheet for inventory/cost related items
• Conducting weekly inventory reconciliations and publishing results
• Preparing month-end account reconciliations and journal entries
• Maintaining all Fixed Asset books of record and reconciliations
• Maintaining rolling forecasts of inventory, PPV, scrap, and material variances
• Conducting intercompany reconciliations and reporting
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. MBA and/or CPA not mandatory - but a plus
• 5 - 10 years standard cost accounting experience all or some of which should be with a manufacturing company
• Proficiency in standard job costing, variance analysis, absorption rate analysis
• Ability to read and understand financial statements
• Ability to manage projects
• Solid computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MRP
• Results Oriented
• Exposure to continuous improvement
• Attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
