Orion Entertainment Announces New and Returning Original Series

Denver, Colorado--Officials from Orion Entertainment have announced that the hit HGTV series Living Alaska has been renewed for another 26-episode run. Likewise, DIY Network has ordered 24 episodes of Building Alaska, one of that network's top performing series.

Guiding Alaska was recently ordered by Travel Channel and the 8-one hour episode series will feature one of Alaska's top fishing lodges and the trials and tribulations of operating a business in one of the world's most remote locales.

After successful pilot tests with HGTV's Living Big Sky, the network has commissioned 12 episodes to begin production immediately.

Similarly, The Treehouse Guys pilot on DIY network shot to the top of the network's ratings and, as such, DIY has ordered 10 one-hour episodes of the series featuring an eclectic team of renaissance treehouse builders. DIY also picked up two additional series called The Jim Belushi Project, featuring the popular entertainer as he builds a recreational home in Oregon, and Mega Decks, which follows an innovative deck and landscape company in Colorado as they redefine 'outdoor' living.

Great American Country (GAC) has ordered Ultimate Sportsman's Lodge-Colorado and the series will reair on the DIY network. The program will feature the construction of a dream outdoorsman's home with scores of elements that celebrate the outdoor life along with cameo appearances of big name celebrities who all have a passion for the outdoors.

Outdoor Channel has ordered 8-one hours of Alaska's Ultimate Bush Pilots, featuring a colorful band of seasoned bush pilots operating on Kodiak Island, Alaska--one of the deadliest places on Earth to fly.

In addition to series orders, pilots about the construction of tiny homes, catering food to the wilds of Alaska, and building off the grid have been ordered by HGTV, National Geographic, and DIY respectively.

"Thanks to our extraordinarily talented team of 150 producers, editors, writers, and cinematographers," says Orion President Chris Dorsey, "we've seen unprecedented growth as we continue to take the outdoor lifestyle to mainstream television."
