NASGW Steps Up for Disabled Vets

Little Rock, AR -- Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) and the National Association Of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) jointly announce a large donation to the HAVA mission of service to disabled military veterans and their families as they try to re-build their lives after devastating injury. The award was announced at the October 15, 2014 kick-off of the annual NASGW meetings in Little Rock, Arkansas by President Maurice Desmarais, Chairman Kent Williams and Vice Chairman Pete Brownell on behalf of the association Board who authorized the donation.

"This is a powerful statement of support by this key industry group in support of America's disabled veterans as they try to develop their confidence in the future for them and their families," said HAVA Chairman Tom Taylor in accepting the award. "NASGW continues its support of HAVA along with more than 30 industry companies. This extends the depth of commitment to this noble cause that our industry launched in 2008 to fund programs that tell the Veteran that we will not forget their sacrifices. There are numerous veteran-service groups, but HAVA is unique with its strong pro-2nd Amendment stance, and has demonstrated the ability to serve veterans by mobilizing our industry's volunteers to do the heavy lifting."

Mo Desmarais added, "HAVA is our industry's best expression of how Americans view our veterans, and many within our membership have served in the military. Several of our Board Members have seen the human tragedies of war, and are honored to add NASGW's voice to the industry's best pro-veteran organization's statement of backing for American's veteran families. Our industry is one with a big heart for veterans, and we will continue to answer their call as they did when their country needed them."
