Seasonal lake level change for Hamlin Lake (MI) begins Oct. 27

The Department of Natural Resources has announced that Ludington State Park in Mason County will begin the process of lowering Hamlin Lake to its winter level Monday, Oct. 27.

The process is expected to take three to six weeks, depending upon precipitation. The winter level is maintained at approximately 2 feet below the summer level and is necessary to control ice damage and erosion. For more information, contact the park at 231-843-2423.
