LARAMIE, WY - Ms. Wheelchair USA Ashlee Lundvall, of Cody, Wyo., will be a special guest hunter at the 2014 Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt, joining almost 40 women from around the nation in this event to raise funds for the Wyoming Women's Foundation to improve the economic self-sufficiency of women in the state.
The hunt, hosted by the Wyoming Women's Foundation, will be held Oct. 9-12, 2014 at the Ranch at Ucross, located 17 miles northeast of Buffalo, Wyoming.
"I am honored and excited for the opportunity to be a part of this groundbreaking hunt for women," Lundvall said. "It is vital to bring recognition to the efforts of the Wyoming Women's Foundation and how it is changing lives through hunting. I am grateful for the chance to share my story with the ladies and speak to them about accessible outdoor recreation, including hunting. It is going to be an amazing weekend!"

After a paralyzing ranching accident in 1999, Lundvall has been passionate about accessible outdoor recreation. She is a founding member of the nonprofit Wyoming Disabled Hunters, serves as Secretary on the board, and has participated as a hunter in the organization's 2009 and 2012 deer hunts, as well as the 2013 elk hunt, where she harvested her first bull elk. She enjoys reading, cooking, design, teaching, camping, kayaking, hunting, and many other outdoor activities. She was crowned Ms. Wheelchair USA in July 2013 and loves to travel speaking on behalf of others with disabilities. She is a stay-at-home mom, an inspirational speaker, and a teacher for computer classes at the Center for Training and Development through Northwest College. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs in 2005 from IUPUI, and earned her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in 2007. She lives with her husband Russ and daughter Addison in Cody, Wyo.
