The grand opening celebration for Augusta's new Gander Mountain store will abound with celebrities, special demos and giveaways. Special events and appearances are happening all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 3, 4 and 5, to celebrate the nation's largest and fastest-growing retail network of outdoor specialty stores opening its newest location.

The new 52,000-square-foot Gander Mountain store in Augusta is located in the Flowing Wells Circle shopping center at 145 Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway, just east of the intersection of I-20 and Wheeler Road. The attractive exterior design and interior layout reflect Gander Mountain's new store prototype featuring innovative interior elements, displays and fixtures.

n Troy and Jacob Landry, stars of History's hit TV series Swamp People will appear Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 3 p.m.
n Travis "T-Bone" Turner, Host of Michael Waddell's Bone Collector on the Outdoor Channel will appear Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
n Eddie Salter, host of Turkey Man on the Sportsman Channel and Flextone pro-staffer will appear Friday from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
n Steve Scruggs, the "Snake Master" will present his live snake seminars Saturday at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
n The Carhartt Experience will be on-site Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., allowing visitors to see the newest innovations from Carhartt.
n The Daisy Inflatable Shooting Range will be on-site Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
n The first 100 customers through the door at the Augusta location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free $10 Gander Mountain gift card.
n The first 250 customers to make a purchase at the Augusta location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Gander Mountain gift.
n Customers can register for a chance to win a trip for two to the CMA Awards in Nashville, TN.
