Private Land/Public Wildlife Council To Meet In Helena, MT

The Private Land/Public Wildlife Council will meet Aug. 4-5 in Helena at the Jorgenson's Inn & Suites, located at 1714 11th Ave.

At the meeting, the council will discuss issues related to hunting access on private and public lands, and finalize draft recommendations to offer for public comment, based upon work accomplished over the past six months.

Each of the 18 members of the governor-appointed council is interested in issues related to hunters, anglers, landowners, and outfitters, including but not limited to Montana's hunting and fishing access enhancement programs, landowner-hunter relations, outfitting industry issues, and other matters related to private lands and public wildlife.

Meeting times are 1-5 p.m. on Aug. 4, and 8 a.m.-noon on Aug. 5. The public is invited to observe council proceedings and work sessions. Designated times for public comment are set for 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 5.
