Outdoor Nation and CamelBak Award Grants

Outdoor Nation, a national initiative connecting the Millennial Generation to the outdoors, and CamelBak, the leading hydration company, have selected ten projects from across the country to receive a CamelBak Challenge Grant. Grants were awarded to pioneering initiatives that are millennial-developed, address environmental issues and create sustainable eco-friendly practices in local communities around water conservation. Potential grantees were tasked with answering the question, "What would you do with $500 and 100 water bottles?"

CamelBak Challenge Grant recipients include: City Kids to Wilderness Project, Inc. "Get Hydrated Challenge!" from Washington, DC, CORE Educational Services "Waste Not Conservation Project - Teen Adventure Project" from Inglewood, CA, Eraina Nossa "What's in Our Water?" from Carbondale, IL, Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona "Water at the End of the World" Tucson, AZ, Jill Campbell "Reducing Single-Use Water Bottles - One School's Leadership Effort for an Entire Community", Virginia Beach, VA, Missouri State University "100 bottles + 500 hours = Stewardship in the Ozarks", Springfield, MO, Ohio Wesleyan University, Ohio Wesleyan University: Green Week, Delaware, OH, Southwest Conservation corps, Connection Corps Wetlands Education, Salida, CO, University of North Texas Science Research Laboratory, Walk for Water, Denton, TX and National Cave and Karst Research Insittute, The Mystery of the Pecos River, Carlsbad, NM.
