The Assistant Marketing Manager position will assist in the management of the complete marketing mix including working with Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of marketing strategies; manage and support the Interlux and Awlgrip yacht brands within the Region; manage the development and implementation of new and existing marketing & product strategies for the Regional Yacht business; pricing and margin management; product range management; advertising and the promotional mix.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in development and implementation of regional advertising strategy including creative development, management in alignment with corporate strategy and in coordination with Global Marketing
Assist in development and implementation of regional strategic media planning including print, digital, social as well as public relations
Development and provision of marketing collateral and sales support materials (in coordination with Global Marketing where appropriate)
Work with all departments in product range management - planning and strategy for all ranges (in coordination with Global Marketing where appropriate) including, pricing and margin management and competitive tracking
Work with Product Managers in Regional Product Launches
Complete all required Health & Safety requirements and operate in a safe manner in the work place
Complete Akzo Nobel Business Principles courses and operate within business ethics and guidelines
Operate within business guidelines
Understand and assist in implementing Sustainability activities to reach Yacht targets and objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
Proficient in MS Office
4-6 years of experience in marketing - Skill-set should include market segmentation, copy writing, basic understanding of printing processes, knowledge in retail and or trade environment and market research methods
knowledge of paint technology preferred
fast learner
People Management experience preferred
Drivers' license
Excellent presentation skills
Strong communication skills
Familiarization with yacht or paint markets
