Topeka, KS - Brian D. Smith the founder of the Monster Buck Classic We Are Kansas event announced final plans Thursday for the Second Annual event.
Final plans have been made and all is set for the Second Annual Monster Buck Classic We Are Kansas event reported the founder Brian D. Smith. "Let the celebration begin" said Smith. "We had one late development occur in the last few days as we have made arrangements for Marion Kincaid, Lee McFarlin and his daughter Misty of the National Geographic network tv series Mudcats to meet and greet the public. We are particularly excited about Marion because he is from Kansas and loves the sport of Kansas deer hunting." Smith went on to discuss some final preparations and details about the Second annual event. "We have a great line-up of things to see and do this year.
Troy Landry as seen on the Swamp People TM television series, Lee and Tiffany of The Crush television series and youth motivator Zac Cooper of Little Man Big Dreams round out our celebrity appearances. The highlight of the event is the Monster Buck Classic Monster Buck Contest where any Kansas resident can enter their 2012-13 buck and win trophies and prizes. Anyone can have their buck officially scored by the Boone & Crocket scorers and scorers from the Buckmasters Trophy Records. We have added the all new Monster Shed Contest as well.
The attractions the year include the KIDS Zone, Dave's West Texas Rattlesnake show, and the over 125 vendor booths filled with your favorite hunting items for sale and on display as well as most of the conservation organizations represented. We are also proud to have on display the world's largest free range shed collection, The Antler Collector. Archers can test their skills on our 3-D bow range again this year to win prizes. There will be seminars each day all day put on by experts. We are proud to have given 12 booths free to conservation and other non- profit organizations.
Our Redneck Blind A Day Giveaway promotion will be a huge hit. Attendees will be able to earn Monster Buck Chips by paid admission, buying a product from a vendor, attending a seminar and several other ways that are turned into a chance at a Redneck Blind valued at $3,000.00 to be given away each day. " Smith announced as well today that Drew Switzer the WIBW Channel 13 Weatherman will host the event and emcee the main event on Sunday when the winners of each category in the Monster Buck Contest are announced.
Smith commented on ticket pricing in his closing statement, "Attendees will receive an armband upon purchasing their ticket which is good all weekend long. Gate prices are free for those eight years old and under, $8.00 for nine to thirteen and $12.00 for those fourteen years old and up. Remember the armband is good all weekend.
