The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region's 3, 4 and 5 will close at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, January 14, 2013:
Close to hunting of female mountain lions:
HD 560 - which includes portions of Park and Sweet Grass counties.
Close to hunting of male mountain lions:
HD's 410, 417, 419 & 426 - which includes portions of Fergus, Petroleum and Judith Basic counties.
Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:
HD 314 - which includes portions of Gallatin and Park counties.
The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the district(s) had been met.
