Blue Resolution Coalition Holding Presser in Montpelier
Montpelier - Tomorrow, after months of meetings to discern areas of common interest, concern, and shared solutions with respect to threats posed to Vermont's waters and economy, the 30-member Blue Resolution Coalition will hold a press conference.
Healthy waters are vital to our economy, our public health, our property values, our commerce, our recreation, our fisheries and our wildlife, and to our image as a state-Green Mountains need blue waters.
A coalition comprised of a wide range of organizations and businesses formed this past summer in recognition of the undeniable value of clean water to our state and its people and in recognition of the threat posed and realized through declining water quality and outdated drinking and wastewater infrastructure.
The coalition, still growing, urges elected leaders and public officials to protect our economy and our health with prudent investment in the repair and modernization of our water infrastructure and in the prevention of further degradation of our lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams.
