Chappy's Outdoors and JoeBuck's Outdoors hunting in Ohio

Chappy's Outdoors has partnered with JoeBuck's Outdoors out of Caldwell, Ohio for a second season to support our nation's wounded warriors as they pursue the state's well-known whitetail giants. This weekend, 11-14 October, will play host to six Warriors taking their archery skills to the woods. The partnership was born out of a friendship between Chaplain Jeremiah Catlin and CPL Charles Moore, president and founder of JoeBuck's. After serving for more than a year together in a Warrior Transition Unit, Charles was medically retired to his home in Ohio while Jeremiah left for his new duty station in Texas. Charles began work on his property and has today created a warm and welcoming environment for his 7 annual hunts hosted on his property. These hunts will occur from October through early January while annually supporting a total of 40 warriors with this year scheduled to surpass those numbers.

Over the past year, the surrounding community has taken notice of JoeBuck's endeavors. Local churches will be hosting the Warriors for meals and banquets. Cabela's in Wheeling, WV has joined the support this season by donating several products. Christian Bowhunters of America, Swacker Broadheads, and C'Mere Deer have all sent products and supplies. Local volunteers have invested time to hang stands and prepare the land. This year, the organization has also received the rights to hunt property now numbering more than two thousand acres. All of this support is indicative of our nation's patriotic atmosphere rooted in these small rural areas. Furthermore, it is a testimony to the enduring spirit of one wounded warrior persevering through his difficulty to give back to his fellow warriors-in-arms. These events offer therapy to the heroes encouraging them to enjoy their passions amidst their injuries. For each of this year's participants, we wish them good luck and straight-shooting!
