O'Malley Recognizes MD DNR Secretary on Award
Annapolis, MD- Governor Martin O'Malley released following statement today on DNR Secretary John Griffin's receipt of the Maryland League of Conservation Voters' John V. Kabler Memorial Award:
"I want to congratulate my good friend and colleague, John Griffin, on his receipt of the John V. Kabler Memorial Award, a well deserved honor," said Governor O'Malley. "For four decades, in both the public and private arena, John has worked tirelessly, passionately and wholeheartedly to serve our citizens and protect our natural resources. For the past six years he has been at the heart and soul of Maryland's environmental agenda, lending his wisdom, expertise, kindness and humor to the progress we have made in protecting and restoring our land, water, fish and crabs."
"I would also like to applaud Senator Pinsky for his leadership to defend our natural world, advocating for a cleaner, healthier Maryland so that we may secure a smarter, greener, more sustainable future," said the Governor.
