The hunting of all mountain lions in north eastern Montana Region 6 except HD's 680 and 690, which includes portions of Garfield, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Daniels, Sheridan, Roosevelt, McCone, Dawson and Richland counties closed at one-half hour after sunset on Monday, October 8, 2012.
The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana, Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts combined had been met.
The hunting district(s) will re-open for hunting for all mountain lion for the winter season with dogs beginning December 1, 2012.
