Our Anoka, MN location is seeking a Senior Manager International Sales, Asia Pacific and Middle East Ammunition to add to our team. This location has a rich history in the community and has been operating since 1922. The Senior Manager International Sales oversees sales activities of ATK international distributors, representatives, and agents to ensure overall strategy consistent with company growth objectives with the utmost ethical and legal integrity. Develops and manages implementation of all sales programs, pricing, distributor agreements and proposals for international sales opportunities. Responsible for increased sales activities in alignment with annual sales plan.
Responsibilities:
• Meet established objectives relative to increased sales volume for assigned sales territory.
• Guide and direct the sales activity of the distribution network and make distribution recommendations to the Regional Director of International Sales.
• Plan and forecast sales activities to include attendance at trade shows, new product introductions, in country product demonstrations, etc.
• Expand market knowledge and market position of ATK products.
• Coordinate with the Marketing and International Sales departments to develop key marketing strategies for specific international markets.
• Work with Legal and Contracts departments to ensure contracts and proposals are presented and compliant with all company legal and contractual objectives and requirements.
• Work with sales team to prospect and quantify possible new accounts and/or participate in business development activities to drive sales growth to meet required objectives.
• Maintain a well-informed knowledge of competitors' activities through information provided by industry sources and convey this information to leadership to allow for strategic focus and future competitiveness.
• Attend and actively contribute to sales meetings, training programs, trade shows, ballistic/tactical demonstrations, wholesaler shows and other activities as assigned.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to sales performance, planning, account information, business expenditures, etc., or as otherwise requested. Operate within expense budget
• Prepare strategic business case proposals in accordance with company guidelines for deviations and delegations.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on a weekly basis relating to the activities of international distribution
Education and Experience Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Business or related field required Engineering degree prefered, MBA preferred
• 8+ years of sales and/or business development experience in the hunting/shooting sports, law enforcement or defense related industries
• Knowledge of international business cultures and factors affecting trends and decision motivators throughout the world
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and abroad

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to customers concerning reloading, shooting sports, product use and problem solving for the shooter/hunter/reloader.
• Provides the initial point of contact for product performance and quality concerns, advises on product usage and adaptability of component products to specific uses.
• Provides information to Law Enforcement, BATFE and other government agencies covering a number of topics, to include product identification, location produced, Lot number information.
• Focal point for customer problems/complaints/resolution/satisfaction, able to analyze and evaluate sufficiency of the problem. Expected to champion the customer internally and externally.
• Collects feedback on product performance, gathers customer input on new products and relays information gathered to product development leadership.
• Enter data into databases/ search databases and assists department leadership in monitoring this information. Frontline contact on escapements, non-conforming product or product performance and tracks product trends. Reads Production prints for products, ascertains in-spec product from that not meeting spec. Uses measuring equipment, daily. Understands Industry pressures, specifications, and tolerances.
• Basic knowledge of shipping requirements for ammunition and related products.
• Conducts research on product performance both current requirements as well as historical. Understands common Industry terminology.
• Answers email on questions posed by our world-wide customer base on four websites. Research/author communication for all standard means of contact. Industry contacts are a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3+ years of Shooting Industry customer service
• Expert level knowledge and use of sporting firearms of sporting firearms and ammunition for both hunting and shooting Please list all current applicable certifications, hunting, shooting and league experience on resume
