Paddlers can take in the colorful shoreline at Summit Lake State Park during the Kayak the Fall event this Saturday, Oct. 6.
The 90-minute paddle tour starts at 2 p.m. at the South Ramp and will travel through coves along the lake's south side. Participants should meet at the ramp a half-hour early.
All boaters are required by law to have a life jacket and a DNR Lake Permit. Lake Permits cost $5 and are available at the park office.
Rental boats are also available.
The event is free after paying the standard park entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle or $7 per out-of-state vehicle.
The event may be canceled in the event of bad weather.
