Muzzleloader Sight-In, Family Rendezvous Set for Platte River SP
LINCOLN, Neb. - A muzzleloader sight-in and family rendezvous will take place Oct. 13 at Platte River State Park. Activities will take place at the Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The fee to sight in a muzzleloader is $5, but all other activities are free. Those activities include the Eastern Platte Muzzleloaders' demonstration of traditional percussion and flintlock rifles, Dutch oven cooking, cowboy action shooting, hatchet throwing, flint napping, and the Nebraska Traditional Archers' demonstrations of long bow shooting and bow making.
A park entry permit is required.
