PARKER, Colo. - Castlewood Canyon State Park has a special treat in store for Labor Day visitors. On Monday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. the park will host a presentation by Colorado's Educators, a non-profit group. The educational wildlife program will focus on birds of prey and will include a live great horned owl, a red-tailed hawk and a corn snake. The staff from Colorado's Educators will discuss the importance of each of these animals in our ecosystem. This program is free with a valid parks pass.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife was created by the merger of Colorado State Parks and the Colorado Division of Wildlife, two nationally recognized leaders in conservation, outdoor recreation and wildlife management.
