Team Benelli 3-Gunners Welcome Trapr Swonson

ACCOKEEK, MD (August 13, 2012) - Team Benelli is pleased to announce Trapr Swonson has joined its roster of top 3-gun shooters. Swonson has competed in shooting sports since the age of 10, first with the NRA's Smallbore Juniors program, and then in IHMSA, USPSA, IMGA, Sportsman Team Challenge, IPSC SG, IPSC Rifle, Steel Challenge, Long Range Practical rifle, and Sniper competitions. He holds state records, won his class/division in each of the various disciplines or placed consistently in the top ten since 1985. In 2000 Swonson began shooting in 3-gun matches, a discipline he likes for the inclusion of three different types of guns, and for its more technical aspects.

Trapr, served in the U.S. Air Force as a small weapons/heavy weapons specialist, and has trained many law enforcement officers as well as coalition forces. He supports the shooting sports as match director for High Plains Shooting Challenge, as well as consulting for match directors of other matches around the country. He and Team Benelli's Kurt Miller serve as the driving force behind Red Neck Tactical, by providing training and support for L.E., military, and civilian shooters around the globe.

Among his distinctions, Swonson has been a member of the USPSA national team representing the USA in both practical rifle and shotgun and is the current 2012 team captain for the US pump-shotgun team going to Hungary to the first IPSC World Practical Shotgun championships, where he will be shooting a Benelli Nova. He was also on the US team when they went to Norway for the European Rifle championships and took high overall team in standard division against the best European teams, just to name a couple from a long list of competition achievements.
