Orem, UT - Jesse Broadwater again took top honors at the NFAA Field Nationals, held 7/25-7/29, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This was Broadwater's seventh consecutive win at the NFAA Field Nationals. The win also clinched the 2012 NFAA Shooter of the Year title for Broadwater, in the Men's Pro Division.
Broadwater, who was shooting Gold Tip's Ultralight Pro target arrows and the Bee Stinger Premier Plus stabilizer system, dominated the event shooting an amazing 1704 points out of a possible 1708.
"We shoot two field rounds and two hunter rounds taking the highest score from each plus one animal round," Broadwater said. "On the field rounds and hunter rounds, 112 arrows are shot for score per day. The animal round consists of 28 arrows."
Taking third place in the event and finishing second for the year, overall, was Gold Tip Shooting Staff Manager Tim Gillingham, who shot Gold Tip Kinetic hunting shafts and the Bee Stinger Premier Plus stabilizer system.
"The tournament archers and professional hunters are demonstrating that you don't need gimmicks to get trophies. One of the unique aspects of Gold Tip's Smart Carbon Technology is that it makes its target shafts the toughest shafts for hunting and its hunting shafts the most accurate in the tournaments, " said Gillingham.
