LINCOLN, Neb. - Unsure of how many fishing opportunities Omaha presents? NEBRASKAland Magazine's "Fishing the Metro: A Guide to Omaha's Lakes and Waterways" provides the answer.
This free, eight-page, color publication, written by NEBRASKAland associate editor Jeff Kurrus, details 29 fishing waters in the metro area. It includes a map, species and special restrictions in each body, and facilities at each location.
The publication, which was included in the July 2012 issue of NEBRASKAland, is available where fishing permits are sold in the Omaha area. It also is available at Nebraska Game and Parks Commission district offices and service centers, Omaha metro office and surrounding state park areas.
