Shooting Sports Retailer's Annual Trade Show In Print
Headlined as "SSR's Annual Trade Show in Print," the July/August issue of Shooting Sports Retailer magazine hit retailers' mailboxes and digital inboxes July 9.

True to its tagline, "Selling is an art form; How To Sell, a passion," this lively issue allows manufacturers to not only introduce their 2012 product lineups but to provide tips to retailers on how to craft their sales message to customers.

Unique to trade publications, the How To Sell package is a special section in SSR - available only to retailers and industry insiders exclusively - in an issue that includes such feature stories as that by contributing writer Jeff Fletcher, who reaches some "Optical Conclusions" about premium and value-priced binoculars and riflescopes that retailers might consider including in their inventories prior to the fall hunting season.

"The Good, the Bad, and the Really Ugly Camo" is GunWear columnist Bob Whitaker's take on new trends in camouflage - everything from the usual shirt, pants, jacket garb to camo dark eyewear, camo stealth caps with see-through brims, and the camo finish on a pickup truck.

"Tools of the Trade: Ideas to Make Your Business Sparkle," is Senior Field Editor Rick Sapp's take on how retailers can improve their operations in order to spike their profitability. A check of available retailer services reveals some of the ways dealers can not only protect but also enhance their businesses. It's all about protecting the building, the inventory and your cash drawer.

Selling tactical rifles and shotguns requires more than just standing them in a wall rack with a hundred other guns. Take a few of your best from inventory and set them up to attract maximum attention, says Tactical Editor Shelby Murdoc in SSR's exclusive magazine- within-a-magazine special section, "The Tactical Retailer." Titled "It's Not the Gun, It's the Presentation," Murdoc's article highlights what some firearms retailers have done to appeal to their customers' can't-live-without-it impulses.

An update on the contempt citation that the U.S. House of Representatives brought against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder over the defunct Operation Fast and Furious issue heads the popular hard news section, NewsScope, exclusive to Shooting Sports Retailer.

Additionally, opinions for SSR's gun news editorial analysts, the new products Preview section and "Your Two Cents" letters from our readers are the ribbons that tie together the "most credible editorial" coverage in the firearms industry as judged by our retailer readers.

All this and much more is in the July/August issue. Check it out! Visitwww.shootingsportsretailer.com for print and digital subscription information.
