Area conservation group to host clay target shoot in Williston, VT
The Green Mountain Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host a Fun Shoot at the North Country Sportsman's Club, Gun Club Road, Williston, VT on Saturday, July 28, 2012 beginning with registration at 8:30 a.m. Shooting from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In addition to the shooting, a demonstration on upland bird hunting will be held with the use of multiple dogs.

According to Dan Schwendler, the entry fee for this 100 target event (four rounds of five stand or trap) is $50, and includes a catered Italian lunch. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.

Proceeds from this event will be divided equally between grouse and woodcock habitat improvement and scholarship funds for the Green Mountain Conservation Camps - a youth oriented outdoor education organization.

Established in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society is the one international wildlife conservation organization dedicated to promoting conditions suitable for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and related wildlife to sustain our sport hunting tradition and outdoor heritage.
