Onway Lake's Raymond Ramp Closing for Repairs
CONCORD, N.H. -- The boat access facility on Onway Lake in Raymond, New Hampshire, will be closed for repairs for about six weeks, from July 23 through August 31, 2012. During this time, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will install a concrete boat ramp, parking for three trailered vehicles and five cartop vehicles, implement erosion control measures, and repave the access road.

Currently the site has a paved drive with a gravel launch area with significant erosion problems.

"Once completed, these improvements will make the launch area much nicer for Onway Lake boaters and anglers," said Jeffrey King, Fish and Game's Statewide Public Boat Access Program Coordinator.

New Hampshire's Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees and federal Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration funds. Fish and Game's Facilities Construction and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites and builds new public boat access areas.
