Nashville, TN - Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts will converge at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center Aug. 9-11, 2012 for the Bass Pro Shops Land and Wildlife Expo presented by Ram Truck, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the nation's top five wildlife conservation organizations.
Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Safari Club International Foundation have joined forces to share the latest innovations for developing, preserving and enjoying America's rich hunting land.
The three-day event, held in conjunction with the QDMA National Convention, features an indoor hunting exhibit hall and The John Deere Outdoor Village, biologist-led seminars, kids' activities and appearances by celebrity hunters including R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere from the popular television show "Swamp People," Tom Miranda, Jerry Martin and other members of the RedHead Pro Staff.
The indoor exhibit hall will contain hundreds of exhibits featuring the must-have products and equipment for the upcoming hunting season, celebrity autograph sessions, the TWRA Big Buck Contest and the Log and Timber Home Show Village area where attendees can view everything that is needed to design, build and decorate the ultimate log home.
Outside, 105 acres of private land adjacent to Opryland will become a sportsmen's playground with John Deere UTV trails, a Ram Truck off-road test track, food plot and crop demonstrations, kids' shooting activities, archery and shooting areas, heavy equipment displays and more.
Back inside, the conservation partners will team up once again to deliver an all-star lineup of land management biologists and hunting legends, such as Dr. Grant Woods, Dan Perez and Barry Wensel, for the GrowingDeer.tv Seminar Series. The Seminar Series covers four topics areas, Wildlife Management, Advantaged Hunting Strategies, Land Ownership and Assistance Programs and Habitat Management, and provides tips for attracting and hunting all types of wildlife.
"The GrowingDeer.tv Seminar Series is your chance to learn not only the tried and true methods these top biologists and experts use every season to get the best results for their clients, but also some of the new techniques they are trying on their own properties," said QDMA CEO Brian Murphy. "I don't know of another show all year where you can get insight like this from so many people all in one place."
