LINCOLN, Neb. - Landowners are invited to attend a Focus on Pheasants Habitat Tour at Sherman Reservoir on July 11. The tour begins at the wildlife management area headquarters, 79027 Sherman Dam Road, at 9 a.m.
The tour will highlight the benefits of different grassland management techniques used around the reservoir to improve habitat for pheasants, quail and other upland birds. Discussions will include disking and interseeding, chemical treatments and prescribed burning and grazing.
