The Sales Manager is a key person who directs the efforts of the sales team for the purpose of optimizing current markets in North America and developing new domestic and foreign markets and business channels; and coordinating efforts with the Marketing team to develop competitive product lines and marketing programs.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in these areas:
Cultivating relationships, removing barriers, and participating in problem solving issues as they relate to sales development.
Formulating sales forecasting / projections and performing ongoing competitive market analysis.
Participating in the development of marketing strategies and long range business plans, identifying trends and development of new product lines.
Coordinating activities with other departments as needed and performing other duties as required to support company initiatives, goals, and values.
Reporting and analyzing data on marketing, sales, and profits; projecting sales and determining the profitability of products.
Successful candidates will meet these requirements:
Is a market driven professional with high levels of energy, enthusiasm and optimism.
Minimum five years of experience selling to major retailers in the industry and proven track record of successful sales strategies and initiatives.
Regional and national sales management experience in consumer products.
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as effective presentation skills before both small and large groups.
Strong analytical and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Ability to travel as needed.
