"The sweepstakes sponsors have come through with some fantastic prizes," said Texas Fish & Game editor-in-chief Don Zaidle. "Hell, I wish I was eligible. I'd sign up myself, my kids, grandkids, and dogs, then extort the prizes from them if they won."
Winners are drawn from the sign-up list for the Texas Fish & Game newsletter, which provides daily email updates on outdoors news, special events, and other matters of interest to sports not just in Texas but around the world.
"Our newsletter is the hands-down best source for news about the esoteric, noteworthy, and offbeat happenings in the outdoors," Zaidle boasted. "From shark attacks to Bigfoot sightings, big buck kills, big fish catches, and the latest hunting regulation changes, we've got it covered. And it's free. All you need is an email address and to sign up. Where else can you get that kind of value for free?"
Drawings are held at the end of each quarter of 2012, on or about the last day of March, June, September, and December.
