ST. PAUL, Minn., April 25, 2012 --- Minnesota's popular fishing opener is still a few weeks away, but there are thousands of opportunities for Walleye Winnings already available all across the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Minnesota-based Gander Mountain, the nation's largest retail network of outdoors specialty stores, and the Minnesota State Lottery have joined forces to offer a new fishing-themed scratch game with a top prize of $100,000 and a second chance drawing for up $2,500 in Gander Mountain fishing gear.

Walleye Winnings is now available at hundreds of retailers throughout Minnesota and recorded more than $1 million in sales in its first week. The $5 game launched on April 17, and offers players a second chance drawing where they can enter non-winning tickets online for an opportunity to win fishing gear from Gander Mountain. The four second chance drawings will also include 10 Walleye Winnings prize packs, which include a lottery fishing t-shirt, a Gander Mountain cap, a lottery cooler and $30 in Mega Millions ticket vouchers. This is the first partnership between the State Lottery and St. Paul-based Gander Mountain, which has 11 stores throughout the state.
