Team Hornady® Scores at Bushnell Brawl with 6.5 Creedmoor Ammo
Grand Island, NE -Team Hornady®sent their key precision rifle competitors to Kingsville, Texas, April 6 - 8, 2012 to participate in the Bushnell Brawl, held at the Rifle Only Training Center. A field of 95 elite precision rifle competitors representing Law Enforcement, Military, and Civilians, came together to demonstrate their accuracy, agility and abilities to work under time limits over the three-day individual event.

Twenty-four courses of fire featured targets as close as seven yards for pistol, and 600+ yards for rifle. Shooters shot from prone, seated, and otherpositions, to running through concrete tunnels. Marksmanship skills were further tested as competitors were airlifted by helicopter to hover 100 feet above the range, and engage targets at 45-degree angles.

Ormond
Rob Ormond tied for fourth place with a score of 1700 points, shooting Hornady 140 grain A-MAX® 6.5 Creedmoor in his rifle, and Hornady® 125 grain 9mm Steel Match® in his pistol. "The 124 grain Steel Match® gives me the knock down power as well as the accuracy to engage targets for maximum points," Ormond said.

Voigt shot Hornady® 105 grain 6mm BTHP Match bullets in his rifle, and Hornady® 125 grain 9mm HAP® bullets in his pistol. Voigt commented, "The new AMP™ jackets, high ballistic coefficient, and legendary Hornady® accuracy make this a shooter test, as I know my ammunition is as good as it gets."
