CHESTER, VA - With the new VICTORY HT Binoculars, Carl Zeiss Sports Optics is introducing a totally New Class of Ultra Premium Birding Binoculars, the VICTORY HT. These binoculars are the brightest ultra-premium binoculars in the world, with near 95% visual light transmission. (Normally, premium binoculars transmit around 89% of available visual light) This is the first binocular specifically designed for very serious Birders, Hunters, Scientists and Wildlife Watchers to meet their unique, early dawn to late dusk, image contrast needs in the field. They are available in Victory HT 8x42 and Victory HT 10x42 specifications.
The brightest, high contrast, ultra-premium binoculars in the world give Serious Birders a significant advantage by ensuring longer observation and brighter images in the lowest light conditions or in deep shadows where optical brightness and high image contrast are needed. This achievement required new, proprietary SCHOTT High Transmission (HT) glass, a super-efficient Abbe-Koenig prism, with newly enhanced ZEISS T* multi-layer lens coatings.
The new ergonomics of the VICTORY HT are unequalled. The large focus wheel, part of the unique Comfort Focus system, is strategically placed toward the center of the binocular to remove strain on the fingers and improve overall balance. This creates a relaxed,
comfortable grip, even with gloves. The forward placement of the focus knob in the Comfort Focus system also eliminates interference from the brim or bill of a hat.
The VICTORY HT focus system itself is ideal for precise, effortless use, providing useful focus speed while avoiding the finicky, drift-prone focus of competing models. It has a wide natural field, with the highest possible center resolution, and without the uncomfortable distortions or light loss from some flat-field binoculars. This is a critical feature for those who need the sharpest image possible in order to make accurate assessments of birds like raptors at extreme distances.
For durability and confidence in the field, Zeiss also created a strong, high grade magnesium, Double-Link Bridge. This is the first bridge to fully protect the focus wheel. This eliminates a weak point found in most competing models by connecting the bridge with two solid linked hinges. This construction facilitates a natural and almost effortless rotation of the diopter control for the viewer's individual vision. Separating the focus and diopter controls also provides a smoother, more precise focus than any competing premium binocular.
"The Victory HT is designed for the extreme viewer who needs the highest level of optical performance and maximum durability," said Michael A. Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics. "This is simply the brightest and most rugged binocular ever made. It is an incredible
product, and my challenge to any user is this: Do Not Buy any ultra premium binocular until you try one of our new Victory HT Class of binoculars - you will not be disappointed!"
The Victory HT binoculars will be on display for the first time in the United States mid April and available at retail in the third quarter of 2012.
