Tanner Tedeschi Joins QDMA as Communications Manager and Managing Editor

The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is pleased to announce that Tanner Tedeschi has joined the organization as Communications Manager and Managing Editor of Quality Whitetails magazine. Tedeschi comes to QDMA from the University of Georgia (UGA) Athletic Association in Athens, where he was the Assistant Sports Communications Director.

"I am ecstatic about joining the QDMA family," said Tedeschi. "Joining QDMA is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that offers me the chance to use and expand my skills with a great organization. I'm excited for what the future holds at QDMA."

At a young age, Tedeschi learned how to hunt whitetails with his grandfather and uncles. Not only did they teach him how to hunt, they also exposed him to the Quality Deer Management (QDM) philosophy.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies with a Communications Concentration from UGA, Tedeschi served as a Sports Information Intern at the University of Florida (UF). There, he wrote press releases and feature stories for a wide array of athletics while maintaining UF football photos, designing newspaper clippings, and serving as the media relations contact for the football and women's track & field programs. In 2007, Tedeschi went to work for the UGA Athletic Association where he served as the Assistant Sports Communications Director and expanded his knowledge in mass communication. He has extensive experience in writing news and feature stories, maintaining media relations, developing social media platforms, managing an editorial staff, and media design.

As a hunter, Tedeschi looks forward to using his journalism skills to broaden the interaction between hunters and QDMA.

"A major goal for QDMA is increasing awareness of the work we do to protect and sustain whitetails and our hunting heritage. Tanner brings a combination of skills and experience that is perfectly suited to that task," said Lindsay Thomas Jr., Director of Communications. "At the same time, he is capable of maintaining the value of Quality Whitetails magazine while bringing improvements and a new perspective to our flagship publication."

As QDMA's Communications Manager, Tedeschi will be in charge of media relations and outreach. To join QDMA's media outreach network, contact Tanner Tedeschi at tanner@qdma.com or 1-800-209- 3337. About QDMA
